He had faced many problems in his cricket career, be it fewer opportunities in Bihar for cricketers or the sudden demise of his father and elder brother.

Personal and Early Life of Akash Deep
Deep was passionate about cricket from his early days although his father wanted him to focus on his academics and not indulge in cricket, his focus was always on cricket.
He used to play cricket for his school and was constantly engaged in all the activities related to cricket.
During his time, the Bihar Cricket Association was suspended, so he didn’t have many opportunities in Bihar.
In his early days, his friend recommended him to a cricket club in Durgapur, where he started playing tennis-ball matches in the Durgapur district for Rs 600 per day. From this exposure, he managed his daily expenses.
After that, in 2010 he joined the United Club in the CAB first-division league to pursue his cricket career. He joined the academy as a batter, but at his coach’s request, he switched to fast bowling.
His ambition towards cricket took a setback after his father and elder brother’s demise in 2015. Both his father and brother died in 6 months. After losing both his father and elder brother he became the breadwinner of the family.
Akash Deep’s career never gave up his cricket dreams. After the sudden demise of his father and elder brother, he joined the CAB second-division league and became a part of India’s Vision 2020 program.

- He got his first break on 9 March 2019, when he made his Twenty20 debut in domestic cricket for Bengal by playing against the Andhra Domestic team.
- He made his ListA debut in the same year in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with the Bengal team. He has played 11 first-class cricket matches till now and he has taken 45 wickets.
- He has played Ranji and in 2021, he got selected for the Royal Challengers Squad in 2021 and made his debut in the 2022 Indian Premier League tournament held in UAE.
International Cricket
- Deep was selected in the Indian Squad for the 2022 Asian Games and replaced the injured Shivam Mavi.
- He also got selected for India’s ODI squad for the series against South Africa, but he didn’t get any matches to play.
