The Chairman of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani, scored 80.3 on the Brand Guardianship Index 2024, good enough to place him second among Indians. With this honor, Ambani surpasses well-known world leaders like Elon Musk, Sundar Pichai, Tim Cook, and Satya Nadella.

According to Brand Finance’s Brand Guardianship Index 2024, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), is ranked first among Indians and second worldwide. He surpassed prominent worldwide business figures such as Elon Musk of Tesla, Tim Cook of Apple, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, and Sundar Pichai of Google. 

Ambani also outperformed well-known Indians, like Anish Shah of the Mahindra Group (ranked sixth) and N. Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons (ranked fifth, up from eighth in the 2023 list). Mukesh Ambani received a Brand Guardianship Index (BGI) score of 80.3 in the Brand Finance survey, ranking him slightly behind Tencent’s Huateng Ma, who received a score of 81.6.

Even though NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, who led the Brand Guardianship Index last year, is now down to third place, he has remained the leader in building brand value over his term. 

As one of the brand’s co-founders in the early 1990s, Huang played a key role in guiding NVIDIA’s transition from a competitor in the gaming processor market to a modern AI powerhouse that has profoundly impacted the state of the world economy. The top ten is as follows:

Survey respondents laud Chanel CEO Leena Nair as the world’s top female CEO for her strategic prowess. Her leadership is the strongest and most reputable among the top 100 CEOs. Nair was hired by Chanel outside, and her experience at Unilever seems to have helped her run Chanel well.

Mukesh Ambani had an outstanding Brand Guardianship Index (BGI) score of 80.3 from Brand Finance’s assessment. He is only short of Huateng Ma of Tencent, a company located in China, which has a top score of 81.6. 

Using a balanced scorecard, the BGI highlights CEOs’ capacity to manage their company’s reputation and long-term worth.
