YSR Cheyutha Scheme, Eligibility, Benefits, and How to apply online?

The Government of Andhra Pradesh introduced the YSR Cheyutha program to help women from lower socioeconomic backgrounds who are 45 to 60 years old. The program offers a cash incentive of ₹75,000 four-year period.

YSR Cheyutha Scheme

The YSR Cheyutha Scheme is a welfare program initiated by the Andhra Pradesh government to support women from minority communities, including those from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Backward Classes, who are between the ages of 45 and 60. 

The scheme provides financial aid of ₹75,000, which is distributed in equal instalments over four years, to enhance their living standards and promote self-employment opportunities.

To be eligible, applicants must be residents of Andhra Pradesh with an annual family income below certain thresholds, own limited land, and meet other criteria such as not owning a four-wheeler, with exceptions for certain cases. 

The scheme also excludes families with government employees or pensioners, except sanitary workers, and those who are already beneficiaries of the YSR Pension Kanuka. This initiative is part of the government’s commitment to create more equitable economic opportunities and empower women in the state.

How much YSR Cheyutha Scheme provide?

The YSR Cheyutha Scheme provides financial assistance of ₹75,000 to eligible women, which is distributed in four phases over four years. This means each beneficiary receives ₹18,750 per year under the scheme. 

The recipient will get this cash amount by direct bank transfer methods. The recipient will get the money in four equal payments. This initiative is available to women who belong to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes, or Minority Classes.

Who is eligible for the YSR Cheyutha Scheme Amount? 

In order to get benefits from the YSR Cheyutha Scheme 2024, candidates must fulfil the qualifying requirements established by the state government. The scheme’s fundamental eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • The women must come from underprivileged backgrounds, such as the SC, ST, BC, or minority communities, and must be between the ages of 45 and 60.
  • An applicant must own at least 3 acres of wetland or 10 acres of dry land.
  • No family members who should be a government employee or pensioner, except for sanitary workers.
  • The applicant must live continuously in Andhra Pradesh.
  • The household income in rural regions should not be more than Rs. 10,000, and in urban areas it should not be more than Rs. 12,000 per month.
  • Four-wheelers are not something the family should possess (autos, tractors, and taxis are an exception).
  • If a family home is rented or owned, its monthly power usage should not exceed 300 units.
  • No family member should be required to pay income taxes.
  • The built-up area, whether residential or commercial, should not exceed 1000 square feet.
  • Additionally, women who are already beneficiaries of the YSR Pension Kanuka are excluded from this scheme

How do I apply for the YSR Cheyutha Scheme? 

To apply for the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, you can follow these steps:

  • To apply for the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, candidates must gather the following documents: proof of address, caste certificate, Aadhaar card, income certificate, domicile certificate, bank account passbook details, age proof, mobile number, and a passport-sized photo.
  • Log in using Aadhaar-tagged mobile OTP Authentication on the Citizen Schemes Portal landing page.
  • On the “Citizen Scheme Application” page, select “YSR Cheyutha” from the scheme’s dropdown and click on “Submit” after completing the requirements.
  • The application process involves the WEA/WWDS conducting field verification, taking eKYC, making recommendations, and forwarding it to the MPDO/MC, who then review it, make recommendations, and forward it to the ED BC for final approval. 
  • By selecting “Track Application Status” on the Citizen Schemes Portal home page, beneficiaries can monitor the status of their payment.

  • Navigate to the designated YSR Cheyutha Scheme status check website accessible at
  • On the homepage, hit the YSR Cheyutha Scheme option and choose the relevant payment status check category.
  • Enter your Aadhar Number/Mobile Number/Beneficiary code in the provided field.
  • Then, hit on the ‘Get details’ button.
  • Then, you will be able to view the status of your application and any related payment details on the screen.
