The Magic of the Taj Mahal
It is said “It’s better to see something once than hear about it a thousand times”
I recently visited the Taj Mahal with my family. It’s in Agra, a city in Uttar Pradesh. I was super excited because I had seen pictures of it in books and on TV.
My guide told us that the Taj Mahal was built by a king named Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It took around 22 years to build. They say it’s a symbol of true love.
The Taj Mahal is very beautiful. It is one of the seven wonders of the world. It’s made of white marble and shines so bright in the sunlight. The main building is shaped like a big onion. There are four tall towers around it. The inside is very beautiful and has lots of intricate designs.
We had to go through a security check before entering. There were lots of guards and cameras. We couldn’t carry big bags or water bottles inside.
There were signs everywhere telling people to be quiet and not to touch anything. Most people followed the rules, but some were careless.
Visiting the Taj Mahal was a dream come true. It’s even more beautiful in person. I felt very lucky to see such a wonderful place. I learned a lot about history and architecture. I hope to visit it again someday.

My name is XYZ, and I am a 15 year old student from Pune, Maharashtra. I am writing to you because I am very concerned about the future of our World Heritage Sites. They are precious parts of our history and culture, and I want to help protect them.
I have a few questions about these important places:
- What are the biggest threats to World Heritage Sites today?
- How can technology help us protect these sites better?
- What can young people like me do to help preserve our heritage?
- Are there enough resources being allocated to protect these sites?
- How can we balance the need to protect these sites with the desire to share them with the world through tourism?
I believe we can all work together to protect these amazing places. Here are some ideas:
- We can educate people, especially young people, about the importance of World Heritage Sites.
- We can use social media to raise awareness and encourage people to visit these places responsibly.
- We can support organizations that work to protect these sites.
Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter. I look forward to your response.

XYZ

Our Heritage Sites in Danger
Have you ever wondered about those amazing places we see in books and on TV? Those places are called World Heritage Sites. They are special places that belong to everyone in the world. But, sadly, many of these places are in trouble.
I talked to Ms. Priya, a scientist who studies World Heritage Sites. She told me that pollution, cutting down trees, and global warming are hurting our World Heritage Sites. She said, “Imagine your favorite toy getting broken. That’s how these places feel.”
I also spoke to Mr. Ravi, who works to protect these places. He said, “We need to be careful. We should not litter or damage these places. We should tell others about how important they are.”
We can help save World Heritage Sites by being kind to nature. We can recycle, save water, and plant trees. Let’s all work together to protect our World Heritage Sites for future generations.
