SMIMS Medical Biotechnology Admission 2024 – Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences (SMIMS), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) Gangtok invited applications for admission to B.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (3-years) and M.Sc. in Medical Biotechnology (2-years) Program for the academic session 2024-25. The Medical Biotechnology Department was established in 2008 and continues to remain one of the most vibrant departments of SMIMS

Important Dates
- Last date of receipt of application for Phase I admission July 25, 2024
- Counseling & Phase I admission July 25 – July 28, 2024
- Commencement of Classes August 1, 2024
- Last date of receipt of application for Phase II admission against vacant seat September 25, 2024
- Last date of Phase II admission against vacant seat September 30, 2024
Eligibility Criteria
For BSc Medical Laboratory Technology Program
- Admission to the BMLT course, a candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry , Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB for General Caste & 45 % for candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC.
For MSc Medical Biotechnology Program
- Admission to Int. MSc. Medical Biotechnology course , a candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry , Biology/Biotechnology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB for General Caste & 45 % for candidates belonging to SC,ST & OBC.

- Conduct & Character certificate to be obtained on the school/college letter head/pad. – Original

- AIU Equivalence Certificate for candidates with school level qualification from schools affiliated to Foreign Board. – Original

- Four recent and identical passport size photographs.

Application Fee
- The cost of the application form is Rs.1000/-. There is no extra charge for the prospectus on purchase of the application form.
