JEE Main 2024 April Session Dates rescheduled by NTA
A confusion among parents and students arose after the announcement of the exam date for CBSE Class 12 Board exam and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) as the dates for both the examinations were overlapping. CBSE Class 12 Board Exams are scheduled to begin from February 15, 2024. According to the CBSE date sheet, examinations for Class 12 Informatics Practices, Computer Science, and Information Technology subjects are scheduled to be held on April 2, 2024 between 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and the second session of JEE Main 2024 is scheduled to be held between April 1 to April 15.
In response to the clash, CBSE has formally requested the NTA to reschedule the JEE Main 2024 exam to accommodate students. The board itself will also send a formal request. Subodh Singh, the Director-General of NTA, informed The Hindu that although the original window for the second session of JEE Mains was April 1 to 15, it will now be conducted after April 3.
The National Testing Agency is organizing the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024, Session 1, at various centers across the country and in international cities. The exam for B.Arch. & B.Planning (Paper 2A & Paper 2B) is scheduled on 24th January (2nd Shift), while for B.E./B.Tech. (Paper 1), it will take place on 27th, 29th, 30th, 31st January, and 1st February 2024.

It is important for candidates to understand that Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City is not the Admit Card for the Examination but serves as an early notification of the Exam City Allotment. This advance notice helps candidates to know where the examination center will be located. The actual Admit Card for the Examination will be issued separately.
