Each amount listed for housing, stipend, transportation, and educational materials must match the most recent authorized DHET requirements.

- By the real expenses assessed by the institution (private lodging expenses cannot be higher than those associated with on-campus living).
- Transportation (from the institution up to 40 kilometers) R7 500 annually
- Living stipend of R15,000 annually

- R2900 annual incidental/personal care stipend for students living in catered housing
TVET College NSFAS Contribution:
- The annual cost of lodging in an urban environment is R24,000.
- The annual cost of lodging in a peri-urban location is R18,900.
- The annual cost of lodging in a rural area is R15,750.
- Transportation (from the institution up to 40 kilometers) R7,350 annually
- Transport R7,000 annually
- Annual incidental/personal service reimbursement of R2,900
