Step 1: NEET 2024 Registration

  • To initiate the NEET 2024 application process, candidates need to click on the “Fill Application Form” button.

  • On the new page, select “New Registration,” which will direct you to the instructions page that should be read thoroughly.

  • During the NEET-UG registration, you’ll be required to provide various details, including creating a password following specified guidelines. This password will be used for all future logins.

  • Upon successful registration, a provisional application number will be generated. This serves as your user ID for logging into in 2024.

  • The following details must be entered during the NEET application form filling:
    • Candidate’s Name
    • Mother’s Name
    • Father’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Nationality
    • State of Eligibility
    • Category
    • Person with Disabilities
    • Identification Type
    • Identification Number
    • Mobile Number
    • Email ID
    • Security Pin (as displayed on the screen)
  • Candidates should also select and confirm a password, security question, and answer for future password retrieval.

Step 2: Completing the NEET 2024 Application

  • After registration, click on “Complete Application Form.”

  • Log in using the provisional registration number and password.
  • You must fill in remaining details in the NEET 2024 application form, including:
    • Personal Details (some details will be auto-generated)

  • Apply for NEET
  • Academic Details (Class 12 or equivalent)

Step 3: Uploading Scanned Documents and Images

  • After providing application details, upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and postcard size photograph among other necessary documents following specified guidelines.

Step 4: NEET Application Fee Payment

  • Once documents are uploaded, you’ll have the option to pay the NEET 2024 application fee.
  • The fee can be paid online and varies for different categories (general, OBC/ST/SC, and EWS).

NTA will notify all registered candidates regarding any image discrepancies, which must be rectified before the deadline for submitting the NEET 2024 application form. Any necessary modifications or corrections to the uploaded photograph and signature can be made through NTA’s login portal or the correction window. To rectify such discrepancies, candidates should follow the steps outlined below:

  • Access the ‘NEET candidate login’ link provided here.
  • Enter your NEET application number and password.
  • The option to upload the correct photograph/signature will be visible on the screen.
  • Upload the accurate images following the provided specifications.
  • Verify the uploaded images before final submission.
  • Upon submission, an OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number of the candidates.
  • After entering the OTP, the corrected NEET application slip will be displayed on the screen.
  • It is advisable to retain a hard copy of this correction slip for future reference.


NEET Correction Window 2024

1. Age Requirements

  • Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the year of admission.
  • There is no upper age limit for the exam.

2. Citizenship

  • Indian citizens, Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for the exam.

3. Qualifying Exam

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.
  • Aspirants who are currently in Class 12 or equivalent are also eligible to apply for NEET.

4. Minimum Percentage 

  • The required percentage in the 12th-grade examination varies by category:
    • Unreserved (UR): 50%
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
    • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 40%
  • These percentages are considered for aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) subjects.

There are no restrictions on the maximum number of attempts for NEET UG 2024.

1. Eligibility for Admission

  • Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission to Medical and Dental Colleges. The specific criteria and procedures are determined by the respective State Governments, educational institutions, and the Government of India.

2. Documentation for NRI and OCI Candidates

  • NRI and OCI applicants are required to upload a Certificate from the Indian Diplomatic Mission in their country of residence, supporting their status as NRI or OCI candidates. This certificate must be submitted alongside their online NEET (UG) 2024 Application Form. The original document should be retained and produced during the Counseling and Admission process for courses covered under NEET (UG).

3. Documentation for Foreign Nationals

  • Foreign applicants for NEET (UG) 2024 must provide Documentary Proof of their nationality. This can include relevant passport pages or a Certificate from the Competent Authority in their country of nationality. These documents should be submitted along with the online Application Form.

4. Documentary Proof of Citizenship

  • The  Embassy Certificate and Citizenship Certificate, or any other Documentary Proof of Citizenship, should be provided by the candidate. 

5. Confirmation of Eligibility

  • Foreign nationals should verify their eligibility for admission from the respective Medical/Dental Colleges or States.


NEET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit 

The upper age limit for NEET 2024 has been removed. Candidates above 17 years of age can apply, eliminating the previous age limits of 25 years for the general category and 30 years for reserved category candidates.


NEET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Qualifying Marks 

1.General and General-EWS Candidates

  • Candidates must have passed individual subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
  • They must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology combined at the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates need to secure a rank in the NEET (UG) – 2023 merit list for admission to medical courses.

2. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes

  • The minimum marks required in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology taken together at the qualifying examination are reduced to 40% instead of 50% for General and General-EWS Candidates.

3.Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

  • PwBD candidates are also required to have a minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (or Botany & Zoology)/Biotechnology, rather than the 50% required for General and General-EWS Candidates.

4.Students who received education abroad

  • Students who have received education abroad and want to seek admission to Indian medical colleges must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with 50% marks in Class 12.
  • Equivalency of their qualifications must be determined by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in accordance with the regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.


NEET 2024 Eligibility Criteria:All India Quota Seats/Deemed Universities/Central Universities/ESIC and AFMC Colleges

Aspirants who successfully pass the NEET UG 2024 exam will have the opportunity to apply for various categories of seats, including the 15% All India Quota seats. However, candidates from the state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) will not automatically be eligible for the 15% All India Quota seats. To be considered for these seats, they must complete a self-declaration form, which should be submitted along with their NEET application for 2024. This self-declaration indicates the candidate’s intention to participate in the counseling for the 15% All India Quota seats and signals their willingness to forgo the home state counseling process.
