The Delhi government has announced a new scheme for the empowerment of women. The Finance Minister of Delhi presented the maiden budget in the Delhi Assembly on 4 March 2024 and introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana.

The Delhi government presented ₹76,000 crore maiden budget for the FY 2024-2025 on Monday. The Delhi Finance Minister Atishi has unveiled the new scheme “Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana” of the Delhi government during the budget session in the Delhi Assembly for empowering women from 2024-2025.
The Finance Minister has mentioned the budget of the scheme in her speech. The Budget allocated by the Delhi government for the implementation and execution of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana is of ₹2000 crore.
The scheme will provide financial aid of ₹1000/- a month to eligible beneficiaries. According to the latest electoral poll, 67,30,371 female voters are ready to vote in the upcoming elections. The government is expected to provide benefits to all eligible women through this scheme.

The Delhi government has announced the following eligibility criteria for the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana for the qualification of the scheme:
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Delhi and a Delhi voter.

Exclusions:
