Kerala SET Notification 2025
The government of Kerala, the Department of General Education invites applications from eligible candidates for SET-January-2025. Candidates who wish to become Higher Secondary School Teachers and VHSE must pass the SET as it is mandatory for appointment in State rules schools.
Candidates interested in applying for the SET-Jan-2025 can apply now as the application window has been open from 25 Sep 2024 and it will be closed on 20 Oct 2024. The link to apply for the Kerala SET Jan 2025 was available at the LBS Center of Science & Technology website. The candidates can edit or correct the submitted application between 23 Oct 2024 and 25 Oct 2024.

Kerala SET 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates interested in applying for the Kerala SET 2025 can check their eligibility to apply below:
Age Limit:
- There is no age limit to apply for the SET exam.
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have completed their Master’s Degree in any subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed degree in any discipline from any University in Kerala or from any other University.
- Applicants applying for Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology, and Botany must have an M.Sc Ed Degree in the concerned subjects with at least 50% marks.
- Applicants for subjects Commerce, German, Home Science, French, Geology, Music, Philosophy, Journalism, Latin, Russian, Social Work, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, and Syriac don’t need the B.Ed degree for application.
- Candidates who have DLEd/LTTC in Urdu, Arabic, and Hindi can apply even when they have no degree of B.Ed.
- Applicants for the subject of Biotechnology must have acquired a Biotechnology degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed Degree in natural science.
- Candidates who have acquired the qualification degrees through Correspondence are not eligible to apply for the SET exam.
Kerala SET Application Fee 2025
Candidates will need to pay the following application fee with their online applications for Kerala SET Jan 2025 based on their category:

Kerala SET Jan Exam Date 2025
The LBS Centre has not released the exam date of Kerala SET Jan 2025 on the official website. The LBS center will release the exam date on the official website soon after the application period ends.
However, seeing the past trend, where last year’s SET Jan exam was held on 21 January 2024, the candidates can expect the SET Jan 2025 exam in the third week of January 2025.
Kerala SET Exam Pattern 2025
The Kerala SET exam has two papers – Paper I and II where the authority assesses the general Knowledge & Aptitude in Teaching and other subjects knowledge of the candidates. The candidates can prepare for the Kerala Jan SET Exam based on the following exam pattern:

- Paper I will be common for all the candidates who have applied for SET 2025.
- The candidates will be awarded with 1 mark for every correct answer except for Mathematics and Statistics where candidates will get 1.5 marks for every correct answer.
- The SET paper will not have a negative marking scheme.
Kerala SET Passing Marks 2025
The candidates will need the following minimum marks based on their category to pass the Kerala SET 2025:

Kerala SET Admit Card 2025
The candidates will be able to download the admit card/hall ticket for the Kerala SET Jan 2025 exam at least 10 days before the exam date. So, based on the projected exam date, the candidates can expect the authority to release the admit card in the first week of January 2025.
