TET TGT(ARTS):
- B.A./B. Com/ Post Graduate from recognized university with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 1 year Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) OR
- B.A./B. Com/ Post Graduate from recognized university with at least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and 2-years Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 years B.A.Ed. OR
- B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) (Special Education) OR
- B.A./B. Com/ Post Graduate from recognized university with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from NCTE recognized institution. OR

- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) with Sanskrit.OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed with Sanskrit. OR
- Graduation with Sanskrit at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education) OR
- Post-Graduation in Sanskrit with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and 3-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed OR
- 4-year degree of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. with Sanskrit from any National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution.
- Note: In case of TGT Art, Medical & Non Medical and Shastries it is “provided that minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July, 2011”.
Junior Basic Training (JBT)
- 10+2 with 50% or Senior Secondary with 50% marks from a recognized Board or Education and 2 years JBT/D.El.Ed from an institute affiliated to Himachal Pradesh board of School Education (HPBOSE). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2- years JBT/D.El.Ed (by whatever name known). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2- years JBT/D.El.Ed (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in elementary Education (Special) OR

Language Teacher
- B.A. with Hindi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whichever name known) OR
- BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
- BA with at least 45% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE(Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- BA with at least 50% marks with Hindi as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education OR
- Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from recognized University and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR

Punjabi Language Teacher
- B.A. with Punjabi as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR

- BA with at least 45% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE(Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- BA with at least 50% marks with Punjabi as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education OR
- Giani with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English and one additional subject) with 50% marks from recognized University and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
- M.A. (Punjabi) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
- Note: Graduation from a recognized University with Punjabi as a subject during the three year of graduation, B.Ed. with teaching of Punjabi (State Teacher Eligibility Test)
Urdu Language Teacher
- B.A. with Urdu as an elective subject and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
- BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
- BA with at least 45% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms & Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR
- BA with at least 50% marks with Urdu as an elective subject and 1-yearBachelor inEducation (B.Ed.) Special Education. OR
- B.T. with 50% marks followed by B.A. Examination (English & one additional subject with 50%marks from a recognized University and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) OR
- M.A. (Urdu) with at least 50% marks from a recognized University and 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.)
- Adeeb-Kamil from jamia Urdu Aligarh will be considered/equivalent to B.A with Urdu.
- Moallim-e Urdu from jamia Urdu Aligarh will be considered/equivalent to B.Ed.for teaching Urdu. AND
- Pass in Urdu Language Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by H.P.Board of School Education Dharamshala. Provided that the incumbents who have already qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education Dharamshala shall also be eligible subject to the condition as laid in para-II of guidelines issued by the National Council for Teacher Education vide Notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad. Dated 11.2.2011.
Relaxations
- Note(1). Relaxation upto 5% in minimum educational qualification and also in minimum qualifying marks for TET to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PHH categories of Himachal Pradesh.
Age Criteria
- There is no upper age limit to apply for the TET. The age criteria are to be considered by the appointing authority at the time of appointment as per R&P Rules.
Application Process
- Candidates can apply online for Teacher Eligibility Test- JUNE 2024 on the Board website www.hpbose.org.
- Please ensure your eligibility as per the criteria laid down for Teacher Eligibility Test-JUN 2024 in the Prospectus uploaded on the Board Website.
- Candidate should enter his/her particulars i.e. Name, Father Name, Mother Name & Date of Birth as per his/her Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate.
- Please read the instructions and proceed carefully before you start filling the online application form. Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Prospectus and on the Board website.
- NOTE: -In case an applicant intends to appear in TET for more than one teaching category he/she shall have to submit a separate online application and fee for each category.
Note:
- The candidate must satisfy his/her eligibility before applying and will be personally responsible for cancellation of candidature in case if he/she is not found eligible as per the given eligibility criteria at any stage even after passing TET.
Examination Fee
- General & their Subcategories : Rs 800/-
- SC/ST/OBC/ PH : Rs. 500/-
- Mode of Payment : Through online payment mode using Credit Card or Debit Card only.
Exam Pattern
- The exam will be conducted in offline mode that is pen and paper mode.
- The maximum marks will be 150 marks.
- There will be 150 objective types of questions.
- The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- For each correct answer, one mark will be given.
- There is no provision of negative marking.
- The question booklet will be set and supplied in bi-lingual i.e. English & Hindi (Except Language subjects)
STRUCTURE OF TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST
Admit Card
- The Admit Card shall be issued only to those candidates who have submitted their Application Form complete in all respects within the stipulated time frame and who fulfils the minimum eligibility criteria laid down for the purpose.
- Admit Card can be downloaded from the Board’s Website www.hpbose.org 4 days before the exam. The admit cards shall not be dispatched by post/fax or sent by E-mail. The candidate will appear in the examination at the given Centre on the date and timing as indicated in his/her Admit Card.
