Famous actor Gary Graham, 73 years old, best known for his roles as investigator Matthew Sikes in the “Alien Nation” films and ambassador Soval on the television series “Star Trek: Enterprise,” passed away on 22 January 2024 at his Spokane Valley, Washington, home.

The actor noted for his roles in several Star Trek productions and as the lead in the television series Alien Nation, Gary Graham, passed away on Monday at the age of 73. On Tuesday, Graham’s ex-wife, actress Susan Lavelle, posted a notice of her demise on Facebook.

She said in a message, “It is with immense sorrow to say that Gary Graham, my ex-husband, wonderful actor, and father of our lovely only child, Haylee Graham, died tragically away today.”

Lavelle added that the unexpected death had “completely devastated” her and her daughter, as well as Becky, Graham’s wife of over 25 years, who “was by his side” when he passed away.

He made a total of 12 appearances as Ambassador Soval in Star Trek: Enterprise, the prequel to Star Trek: The Original Series, between 2001 and 2005. His wife, Becky Graham, confirmed his death and stated that cardiac arrest was the cause.

Mr. Lavelle went on, “Garry had a funny, sarcastic sense of humour but kind, he fought for what he believed in, he was a devout Christian, and he was so proud of his daughter, Haylee.”

Gary Graham made his film and television debuts in the middle of the 1970s, and he is most known for his leading parts in science fiction programs that fans like. American actor, singer, and writer who lived from June 6, 1950, to January 22, 2024. 

Having started his five-decade career in television and film in the 1970s, he is most known for his recurring role as Soval, the Vulcan ambassador to Earth in Star Trek: Enterprise, and for the spotlight as Detective Matthew Sikes in the television series Alien Nation (1989–1990) and five follow-up Alien Nation television films (1994–1997). 

He tied the knot to Susan Graham, Caren Leslie Williams, Diane Patricia Vaughan, and Becky Hopkins. In addition, he gained recognition for his performances in the films “The Spy Within,” “The Last Warrior,” “The Arrogant,” “All the Right Moves,” “Robot Jox,” and “Steel.” 

In Long Beach, California, Graham was born. In the 1980 CBS miniseries Scruples, which was based on the Judith Krantz novel and starred Lindsay Wagner, he played one of his first roles. He played a “hitman” with Bruce Willis in the TV show Moonlighting. Graham had appearances in more than 38 TV series and 40 movies.

As a musician, Graham played with The Sons of Kirk, The Gary Graham Band, and The Gary Graham Garage Band. On January 22, 2024, Graham, who was 73 years old, passed away in Spokane, Washington.

He was enrolled in the University of California with the intention of studying pre-medicine, but he quickly changed his focus to acting as he was finding it difficult to maintain a 4.0 GPA. While portraying Detective Matthew Sikes in Alien Nation, he was a fully qualified paramedic.

He was paired with George C. Scott in the 1979 film Hardcore after completing acting training at the University of California, Irvine, prior to his rise to fame.
