CBSE has recently released a circular for CBSE Veergatha Project Edition 3.0. This circular was released on August 23, 2023, the circular number is Acad-97/2023. In this article, I am going to discuss the same. Let us begin!
Introduction to CBSE Veergatha Project Edition 3.0
CBSE has already introduced Veergatha project edition 1 and edition 2 for a couple of years. It went off very well and now Veergatha Project edition 3.0 is going to start. Let us start with an introduction to Veergatha Project 3.0. Here we go!
Gallantry Awards have been instituted by the Government of India to honor the acts of bravery and sacrifice of the officers/personnel of the Armed Forces, other lawfully-constituted Forces and Civilians. These gallantry awards are announced twice in a year on the occasion of Republic Day and Independence Day.
In order to disseminate the details of acts of bravery and the life stories of these brave- hearts among the students, it has been proposed by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) that school students may be motivated to do projects/activities based on gallantry award winners. Accordingly, the first edition of Project Veer Gatha was organized in 2021 and the second edition was organized in 2022.
Veergatha project edition 3.0 – Activities
The MoD in coordination with MoE has now decided to launch Project Veer Gatha Edition 3.0 which is proposed to be culminated with the prize distribution ceremony in January, 2024. Interdisciplinary and art-integrated activities Poem, Paragraph, Essay, Painting, Multi Media Presentation etc. may be considered as project activities for the students.

The topic and categories for veergatha project edition 3.0 are as follows:

Timeline for conducting activities
The timeline for conducting activities is as follows:

| Till 15th September 2023 | Conduct of Activities at the School Level: Students will execute project activities under the overall supervision of the schools Evaluation of entries submitted by schools to be done at the District level as per the Rubrics Schools to upload 01 best entry per category, a total of 04 from each school, at the mygov portal Schools up to classes 5, 8, and 10 can also submit a total of 4 entries in any of the applicable categories. |
Registration and Submission of Entries
This year the entries for submit entries for Veer Gatha 3.0 on mygov Portal only. The detailed procedure for registration and submission of entries is attached as Annexure II.
The Portal will be open for submission of entries up to 15th September 2023. The Schools should not wait for the last date for submission of the best entries.

Awards
1.100 selected entries will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- by the Ministry of Defence.
2. Each of the 100 winners will be invited to Republic Day Celebration at Delhi.
3. All students whose entry is uploaded on the Veer Gatha portal will get an E- certificate of Participation.
