Army TGC Recruitment 2024
The Indian Army has released the short notice for the TGC-141 for unmarried Engineering graduates who wish to join the Indian Army as Commissioned officers. Through the TGC program, Engineering graduates can use their technical skills to serve their country through the Indian Army after they complete their training program.
Candidates interested in TGC July 2025 course enrollment can submit their online applications from 18 September 2024 to 17 October 2024. The TGC-141 Course will commence at the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun for 12 months in the concerned Engineering stream. The authority will release the full detailed notification of the TGC 141 on 18 September 2024.

Army TGC 141 Eligibility Criteria 2024
Candidates who wish to apply for the ARMY TGC 141 2024 application for the July 2025 course can check their eligibility to apply for the same from the below eligibility criteria:
Citizenship:
- Applicants must be citizens of India or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or an Indian origin person who migrated to India with an intent to settle in India from East African countries of Kenya, Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Zaire, Zambia, etc.
Age Limit:
- Applicants’ age should be between 20 to 27 years on 1 August 2025, that is, they should be born between 02 Jan 1998 and 01 Jan 2005 including both dates.
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have passed their Engineering Degree course or have appeared for their Final year exam from a recognized university.
- Applicants who have appeared for the final year examination must submit their proof of clearing the Engineering Degree examination on all semesters/years by 01 Jan 2025 and produce the concerned certificates before their commencement at IMA, Dehradun.
- Applicants applying for the TGC-141 should never have a backlog in their Engineering Degree Examinations.
Army TGC 141 Selection Process 2024
The Engineering graduates who wish to join the Indian army through the TGC training program can check the following selection process to understand the whole process:
- The Indian Army will select the candidates based on their marks in the qualifying examination, that is, their Engineering Degree Examination. The authority will prepare the shortlisted candidates list and call them for the SSB interview.
- Candidates who have appeared for the final year examination can appear for SSB however they have to present their passing proof by January 2025 along with passing marksheets and certificates.
- Candidates will then undergo the SSB interview which generally consists of two stages – the OIR test & PPDT, Psychological test, and personal interview. The selecting board will assess the capability of the candidates to work in the dynamic environment of the Indian Army through the SSB interview.
- Document Verification/Medical Examination: Candidates who clear the SSB interview will have to present their original documents for document verification to prove their application claims. The shortlisted candidates would also go through a medical examination to assess their physical and medical fitness as per the Indian Army standards.
Army TGC 141 Types of Commission & Pay 2024
Candidates who passed the selection process of TGC-141 will be granted Short Service Commission for a probation period during their training period based on the following Commission:
- The Candidates will be first commissioned at the rank of Lieutenant from the date of July 2025 TGC course commencement during his 12 months of training. The candidates will get the full pay and allowances applicable for the Lieutenant rank in the Indian Army. The pay & allowances will be paid after completing the training.
- After the candidate completes his training period under the TGC program, he will be permanently commissioned on the rank of Lieutenant from the training cadets.
The candidates will never be allowed to marry during the training period and if they marry they will be discharged from the service. The cost of training will be borne by the Government of India, however, in case the candidates withdraw from the training they need to refund ₹16260 per cost of training.
On selection and commission at the rank of Lieutenant, the Candidates will receive the Level 10 pay range of around ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 with other applicable allowances.
